Adirondack Zen, designed by Andrew Chary Architects, is a serene retreat in the Adirondacks. This bespoke, heirloom-quality space harmoniously integrates with its natural surroundings, offering a peaceful haven that refreshes the soul and fosters a deep connection to nature.

This structure was conceived to fit into a 1930’s community, and is situated within a ring of 27 towering Hemlocks, overlooking a pond. It is strategically designed to float between the tree roots by virtue of being built upon caissons- meaning very few piers that were positioned to not harm the trees that give it its earthy scale amongst the towering trees.

This estate was conceived as an homage to the early 1900’s English Arts and Crafts Country homes of Sir Edwin Lutyens and the gardens of Gertrude Jeckyl.
